Days before her 27th birthday which is this Wednesday, New York rapper Young MA just picked up some serious bling in Atlanta to help celebrity. She spent $140,000 with Ali G and Ali L at Luxe Jewelers on a diamong pendant and chain. Embossed on the pendant in big letter is “Young MA Music” and her hometown of “Brooklyn, NY.” The piece was over 39 carats weighing 129 grams. Other celebs they’ve iced out include Love & Hip Hop’s Jaquae, Danrue from Wild ‘N Out, and rapper Conceited from Wild ‘nout.
The amount Young MA spent on her chain is rather modest compared to Rich the Kid who just spent $425,000 on a chain from Eliantte this month. He bought it to celebrate the release of his new album The World is Yours 2. Nevermind that most people wait to see if an album sells before dropping that type of money, but he’s a different type of beast. Apparently, being robbed multiple times and at gun point hasn’t stopped him from being as flashy, even if it’s landed him in the hospital. Safaree’s the same way. You might remember he rapped about how people were trying to rob him and how he fought back, and just as art imitates life, that’s exactly what happened, with him getting robbed, and then buying the exact same pieces he had stolen. Some people never learn, but who’s going to mess with Young MA? There’s alleged footage of her beating up Cardi B in the past so that pretty much solidifies her street cred.
One person Young MA’s had to check recently is rapper Kodak Black for referencing her being a lesbian in his song Pimpin Ain’t Easy. In the song he raps, “I be pullin’ out straps on these f**k n****s / I go Young M.A on these dumb b*****s / Like a dyke man, you n****s can’t f**k with me,” he raps on the song’s chorus. “I’m f**kin’ Young M.A, long as she got a coochie / Say she got the strap and the toolie, say she put the crack in her booty.” It’s safe to say that being told he could get her just because she had a vagina, MA didn’t find it cute or funny. She responded saying “Y’all keep talking about this Kodak situation. Y’all n****s is weird, bro,” she told her viewers on Instagram Live. “Come on, obviously the n***a is weird, bro. Obviously, he on some s**t, bro.”
Kodak Black came back in a a video of his own saying “Yo, y’all stop making Young M.A mad. That’s my dog! Don’t do that, baby. We gon’ catch up. I just wanna be the homie. I just wanna be the forever homie in the cut, vibing.” Later in the session he doubled down on his homophobic rhetoric saying “I’m talking about, how you a girl but don’t want your p***y penetrated? How? Don’t be mad at me, ’cause I want you, baby. Don’t be mad at me!”
We’re certain Ma’s not going to let Kodak or anyone else ruin her birthday. Besides, she got him back on Wild ‘N Out with Erica Mena.
