Wendy Williams’ Show Might be Getting Cancelled Amid Health Concerns

Wendy Williams’ Show Might be Getting Cancelled Amid Health Concerns

It’s been over a year since Wendy Williams had her collapse on stage that lead to her taking three weeks off mid-season for the first time in the 10 years the show’s been on the air but it doesn’t mean the consequences aren’t still lingering around. Her show might have ben renewed for the 2019-2020 season but there’s a possibility this could be the end of the road for Wendy over concerns about her health.I say all the time that Wendy looks amazing at 54 but watching her today is much different than earlier years in the show as she does appear to be off at times. She announced having Graves disease when she took those three weeks off from the show in February. Keep in mind that’s the same disease that lead to Missy Elliott not recording an album the last 13 years. Missy almost crashed her car in 2008 because she wasn’t able to keep her foot on the brake due to loss of muscle control. Just a few days ago Wendy had to apologize to fans on social media for a poor show performance after slurring through her show saying she wasn’t up to par.

“I sincerely apologize if you feel that today’s show was less than stellar. I’m on your TV screens every day wanting to spread laughter, entertainment and cheer. As I reported earlier in the week, I have a hairline fracture on my upper arm, which hurts like hell. I’ve never broken a bone or experienced a fracture in my life. In the key place where the fracture is, and trying to scurry around and do too much, I am now paying the price. I’ve never taken a pain medication in my life (except when I got snatched over 20 years ago) until this week. I did that to power through and try to deliver a great show for you, against the better judgement of the many people around me who genuinely care for me well-being. I really do ride or die for my craft and give 200%.”

She said she was warned against going on air on painkillers but she did it anyway. Anyone with sense knows you’re supposed to see how you react to medicine before doing anything serious especially going on camera so you don’t do anything ridiculous. And to add insult to injury, sources say she’s barely able to stand at times leading friends to be concerned about her saying it’s something more serious than just that shoulder fracture excuse she gave the other day.

It’s understandable though because at a certain age you do have to work harder to keep your place. Meanwhile she and Ellen Degeneres have been ping ponging at the top of daytime tv ratings for years and while she’s struggling to read a teleprompter, Ellen’s dancing across her stage. Nevermind she’s got a personality that nearly lead her wife Portia de Rossi to suicide, that’s a different story. At least that’s all behind the scenes.

Whatever the situation is with Wendy, we’re hoping she takes care of her health because love her or hate her, we do want to keep her around. There’s only one Wendy and besides, who else is there to talk about doing what she does?
