Wiz Khalifa’s two weeks into the release of his new album Rolling Papers 2, the sequel to his 2011 major label debut Rolling Papers. A lot’s happened in his life over the last 7 years from an 18 month engagement to Amber Rose, a 5 year old son and most notably these days, the fact he’s been hitting the gym and raising eyebrows with his new body. Now if you didn’t know it, Wiz is a proud dad. He just appeared on stage during his DayToDay tour with Rae Sremmurd rapping alongside his son, Bash. Serving as Bash’s hype man he rapped in his ear to get his energy up beforethe little thing took the mic and owned the stage on his own. He might not have known all the words but that’s besides the point. It was still cute to watch. The track he performed was Doin What I Love Most and with his album debuting at Number 2 right under Drake on the Billboard 200 and being his 8th top 10 on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts, Wiz is doing what he loves and living his best life. Wiz was grinning ear to ear after the performance backstage saying “Man, I’m so happy.”

If you haven’t been paying attention to him lately, Wiz made a bit of a controversial statement on the Breakfast Club while promoting his new album a couple weeks ago saying that men should not eat bananas. Well, actually he said you shouldn’t put the whole thing in your mouth. “You gotta break it in half,” Khalifa, 30, told host Charlamagne Tha God. “If you bite into a banana, you sus[pect].” Charlamagne responded. Unwaivering in his stance, Wiz said “You gotta break it in pieces bro. If you a n—a, n—-s gotta break the banana in half. I’m just trying to help you out, bro. If you’re in public, just break it into pieces.” And as a piece of advice to women, he said “Watch these n—-s that don’t be eatin’ a banana the right way.”

Is what he said silly? Yes it is. But do you know what else is silly? Getting caught in a meme sticking a banana in your mouth in public being called gay for the rest of your life is as well. Yes, people have to think about those things who are in the public eye. It gives you complexes… such as Mariah Carey only wanting to be shot from one side because she was told what her good side was years ago. It took her about 15 years in the industry before she would ever consent to being shot on the other side. We did a piece years ago of Wiz taking a picture of his butt in pants saying “Little booty” so he might have a little queerdom in him he’s paranoid about getting out, who knows. Also, for those who forget, Wiz is packin’ and not just a little. We covered that in the past too. (Take a look for yourself). So Amber Rose probably knew and decided to give him a go anyway. Some things just have to be experienced at least once. 🙂
