Trey Songz NOT Facing Charges for Domestic Violence Allegations + Los Angeles DA Rejects Case

Looks like Trey Songz is walking away as a free man, at least for now. TMZ reports that the singer will not be facing any criminal charges for allegedly hitting a woman because the L.A. District Attorney isn’t accepting the case.

Law enforcement states that Trey’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, gave numerous witness statements to LAPD that contradicted Andrea Buera‘s account of events during NBA All-Star Weekend in February as well as further information that led to skepticism about Andrea’s credibility.

The case will now be referred to the L.A. City Attorney, who will decide whether or not to charge Songz with the lesser charge of misdemeanor domestic violence.

Trey turned himself in last month and was accompanied by Shawn Holley, for the alleged incident involving a woman he was out with in L.A. last month during NBA All-Star weekend.

Trey was booked and released a little after posting a $50,000 bond.

In February a woman filed a police report claiming Trey hit her in the face Saturday night while they were attending a Hollywood Hills party.

The woman claims that Trey got upset because she was talking to another man, and hit her during an argument. After leaving the party alone, she later stopped by the hospital and then spoke with the police.

Trey has since took to Instagram to celebrate:

God told me not to worry, I said ok. ?
