Well Mariah Carey certainly has a way with words. If you’ve ever paid attention to her music, she started her career off writing songs with oddly placed words, almost like a blonde version of Michael Eric Dyson. Don’t believe me? Gawker did a piece on her named Acquiescent Nothingness Incessantly: A Glossary of Mariah Carey’s 10-Cent Words. But at age 48 she’s got decades of heart break and breakups she’s pinned songs about so for her latest single, what did she title the track.. simply “Get the F*ck Out,” specifically written as ‘GTFO.’ Sometimes that’s all you’ve got to say when it’s all said and done. B*tch, just get out. lol

The Nineteen85 produced song came out yesterday and strikes a petty tone because, after all, this is Mariah Carey we’re talking about. Thi is a woman who when asked about Jennifer Lopez shook her head saying she didn’t know her, a statement that has since become a cultural phenomenon. The chorus to the song is “How about you get the f*ck out” repeatedly throughout the song. In fact, you could sum the song up by it being a repeat of her singing “Get the f*ck out” with verses in between. It doesn’t get any pettier than that. The song is also the first offering from her Epic Records imprint, Butterfly MC Records. The accompanying music video came out this morning, directed by Sarah McColgan who’s worked with Kelly Clarkson and Charli XCX. If you’re a Mimi fan, her official first single With You will be out October 5th and she’s going to be returning to her headlining show The Butterfly Returns at the Colosseum in Caesar’s Palace February 2019.
