The beef between artists Drake and Tory Lanez is over. Since Tory’s debut in 2015, two of Toronto’s biggest stars have traded subliminal shots towards one another through their music, online and even in a few interviews. All of that is now done and in the past as Drake shared a photo of himself with Lanez using the caption: “The city needs more of this and less of that 6️⃣:”

Tory also took to his official Twitter account where he shared the same photo along with a new one using the caption “Toronto:”

Fans alleged that Drake was dissing Tory on his song Summer Sixteen with the line: “All you boys in the new Toronto want to be me a little /You was never gang, gang, gang, gang, you was never one of us.”

It continued:

“Oh it’s your time now, yeah, that’s what everybody say /And say you seeing ‘bout it when you see me, man, y’all never home anyway.”

Tory then responded back to Champagne Papi on Line Up the Flex stating:

“Fuck them ni**as that was hating on me /Even though a ni**a used to tell ’em all / I was never ever gang, gang, gang, gang, I was One Umbrella Mob.”

Tory also stated in an interview that it wasn’t really a beef, but more like a rivalry:

“There’s never been a personal problem because I don’t know that man. It’s just one of those situations where, the only thing that’s ever gonna lie in between us is that we can’t share first place and I’m the only guy that’s bold enough to come and really take that right now.”
