Amy Schumer had some spare time on her hands today since she curently doesn’t have any film projects lined up, so she decided to travel to Washington to get locked up today. The event wa the Cancel Kavanaugh protests that came at the end of the FBI investigation into unfounded sexual assault allegations lodged against the Supreme Court Justice nominee by Stanford research psychologist Dr. Christine Blasey-Ford.

Outside of the Hart Senate Office Building is a belligerent Schumer, (not to be confused with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer), on camera recording a video to a fellow protestor’s child letting them know that she and their mother were getting arrested “Hi Zola,” she begins the video with. “I’m here with your mom. She loves you very much. I think we’re going to get arrested and we’re so proud of you.” The video appeared on Twitter with the child in shock tweeting “MY MOM AND AMY SCHUMER ARE GETTING ARRESTED TOGETHER AND AMY SAID HI TO ME.”

The day ended with Amy and her 2018 I Feel Pretty co-star Emily Ratajkowski being arrested together for protesting. An officer is seen in the video asking the two “You want to be arrested?” She kindly replied “Yes.” As they were being arrested, Ratajkowski tweeted “Men who hurt women can no longer be placed in positions of power,” despite there being no evidence provided both before, during or after the Kavanaugh FBI investigation into events that took place 36 years ago. Schumer also carried a sign saying “We Believe Anita Hill.” For the record, Anita Hill was the woman who accused Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas of sexual harrassment in 1991 whose FBI investigation found nothing. Why exactly Amy Schumer had a sign saying she believed her is beyond me. Maybe she had the wrong name ordred.
